Tuition

The WVYS Board of Directors, an entirely volunteer board, works diligently to obtain grants, foundation support and individual donations to provide the conductors, faculty and special events included in the Youth Symphony program. Tuition is a necessary part of our budget. Tuition includes all rehearsals, sectional classes, ensemble experiences, music, auditions, most registration fees, and free admission for the student to West Virginia Symphony Orchestra and Montclaire String Quartet concerts.

Tuition for the academic year is as follows for each ensemble:

Tuition is for the entire year and can be paid in installments. Parents are encouraged to pay the tuition by the end of October. If you are unable to pay the full tuition by the end of October, please submit original invoice with intended payment plan to the General Manager.

Any cash tuition payments submitted at rehearsals should be given to the General Manager in a sealed envelope containing the name of the student and the amount enclosed.

Tuition checks should be made out to West Virginia Youth Symphony (WVYS) and brought to rehearsal by the deadline or mailed to:

Financial Aid

Donations and grants have been designated to provide financial aid to students who are unable to meet the tuition requirements.
