Here at the Morgantown Farmers Market, we want to provide area farmers with alternative opportunities through a retail marketplace and also encourage regional farming. We want to provide consumers with fresh, locally grown or produced products in a convenient location.
The Morgantown Farmers Market was established in 2002 by a few, passionate West Virginians. While it started out small, the producers, community-based supporters, and West Virginia University Davis College representatives formed an advisory board that dedicated their time and efforts into growing the MFM into what it is today.
It originally ran in the Seneca Center with a small group of vendors, but has now expanded into a large community on Spruce Street in the heart of downtown Morgantown.
